Travis Scott & Big Boi Confirmed for Super Bowl Halftime
After several months of rumors, it has finally been confirmed. Travis Scott will be the halftime performer at Super Bowl LIII.
The NFL announced on Sunday that the Houston rapper will be joining Maroon 5 on Feb. 3rd in Atlanta, GA.
While a lot of fans were hoping ‘Outkast’ would perform as well, half of your wish has been granted as Big Boi will be on stage as well.
Before the announcement was even made, Travis Scott required the NFL to make a joint donation with him to a charity that is helping in the fight for social justice.
When it was first rumored that Scott was going to be the halftime performer, he was faced with a lot of criticism from the hip hop community that has been backing Colin Kaepernick, who has been “blackballed” by the NFL for his kneeling protests and has not touched a field after becoming a free agent in 2017.
Controversy or not, Travis Scott is a performer through and through. I have no doubt in my mind that he will put on an electric performance for his fans and may even pick up a few more. See y’all on Feb. 3rd!
