Every since Lifetime aired the life-altering docu-series, Surviving R. Kelly in January, it seems that the public has had the Pied Piper on its radar. But not only the public… so has law enforcement.
For a variety of reasons, Cook County has been issuing arrest warrants and polishing up the handcuffs for Kelly. But even when they seem like they got him, it has been a revolving door- with him being in and out of court or an escalator- with his luck going up and down.
The new thing according to Fox News is that the US Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Illinois has been interviewing “parties closely associated with Kelly” and looking for more sex tapes linking the embattled r&b star to sexual relations with underaged girls.
According to many who were interviewed in the Lifetime series, there are tons of tapes out there. Attorney Michael Avenatti has said that he has seen at least three of these new tapes.
Many will remember that in 2008 there was a tape where the “I Believe I Can Fly” songwriter was alleged to have been having sex with an underaged girl. He was cleared in that case, even though many that have seen the tape – which is consider child pornography- swear up and down that it is Kellz. Because of that for over 10 years, folk have decided to #MuteRKelly, despite how much Big Mama loves seeing the family stepping in the name of love at the barbecue.
Still… No matter what people think and say… they can’t keep him locked. He remains Teflon.
Currently, Kelly is out on $1 million bails after being indicted on 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse in Chicago’s Cook County. The women accusing him range in age, including legal and under-aged females.
